Some books to look at.
Janet Reitman does a great job telling the story of Jeremy Hammond in this Rolling Stone article. It's difficult for me to contain my anger and disappointment when I hear about people like Jeremy being imprisoned.
"The Circled A is a weekly Anarchist radio show." Looks like they have several interesting episodes.
"In 1910, she was accused of treason by the Japanese government for her alleged involvement in what became known as the Kotoku incident, aimed at the assassination of Emperor Meiji. She was the first woman with the status of political prisoner to be executed in the history of modern Japan."
"In Egypt any man can harass, brutalize, and rape a woman. It happens all the time. The State will ignore it for as long as possible; the media will say she asked for it. Just try a harmless expression of mutual, consensual desire, though. They’ll hound you to within an inch of your life."
Video of protesters in Denver chanting at Denver Police Department.
I need to find some time to add a few names to this list
Another good response to Chris Hedges' old article against Occupy Oakland's black bloc that I just came across.
The talk by Eran Efrati was filmed in Denver, Colorado on March 3, 2014 as part of The Soldier and the Refusenik U.S. tour with Maya Wind. Eran talk about his experiences in the IDF and then more broadly discusses Israel, its relationship to the U.S. and the global expansion of militarism.
"The Columbine Massacre, sometimes called the Columbine Mine Massacre, occurred in 1927, in the town of Serene, Colorado. A fight broke out between Colorado state police and a group of striking coal miners, during which the unarmed miners were attacked with machine guns. It is unclear whether the machine guns were used by the police or by guards working for the mine. Six strikers were killed, and dozens were injured."
From the articleon Serene, CO:
"The area that once was the company town of Serene is now a public landfill in extreme southwestern Weld County, just outside the limits of the town of Erie and the city of Broomfield."
"There are a myriad of ways one can object to the LTV, but the idea that is is nonsensical and incoherent is simply based on misunderstandings. One may well disagree with the premise that labour is the source of value (I do, simply because I have no positive reason to believe it). One may also endorse alternative theories over the LTV. But, based on a clear understanding, there is no a priori reason not to develop a comprehensive understanding of Marx’s theory, and treat it in the same way one would treat any other theory in economics."
"This is what happens when you call the cops"
"Nearly three years ago, Steven Bass' tent led to a police ticket - a ticket that led to a trial, an appeal denied and 160-day sentence in El Paso County jail. Bass, the first person cited under Colorado Springs' camping ban, remains mired in a legal battle backed by a University of Denver assistant professor working for free."
Nice table and map
"Police wearing riot gear raided a well-known Newtown squat amid protests on Thursday evening."
A few minutes of video with commentary:

"One of the two lead contractors for Israel’s apartheid wall in the occupied West Bank, Elbit Systems, has won a $145 million contract from the US Department of Homeland Security to provide similar systems on the Mexico-US border."
"In the face of official inaction, dozens of Palestinian organizations recently issued a call for ordinary people around the world to mark ten years since the ICJ ruling by making July the month of action against the apartheid wall."
I might adopt "apostasy, not prayer" as a personal slogan.
